AiPixel delivered an Astin P1.86 flexible LED module solution for the Madrid Metro upgrade, creating customized curved displays for complex station environments with reduced mold development cost.
Project Overview
Challenge
The Madrid Metro renovation required a display solution that could adapt to multiple complex shapes within an existing transit environment. The project needed high splicing precision, stable long-term operation, lightweight structure, and cost-efficient customization for historical station spaces.

Solution
AiPixel used the Astin P1.86 flexible LED module to create 28 customized display shapes with only three mold sets. The aluminum profile cabinet, CNC-processed edges, sub-0.05 mm splicing precision, 18 strong magnets per cabinet, and 12°, 15°, and 18° angle adjustment options enabled both inner-arc and outer-arc curved displays.
Result
The solution reduced mold-development complexity while giving the historical metro environment a renewed digital display experience. Its lightweight structure, tight module connection, and flexible curved installation helped reduce logistics and installation pressure while improving visual impact inside the station.
